The exhibition
Van Gogh feat. Emiliano Pepe brought Vincent van Gogh's most iconic works, from Starry Night to Sunflowers, to the Cattedrale dell'Immagine, the deconsecrated church of Santo Stefano al Ponte in Florence. Colour and motion carried the paintings across the venue's Romanesque architecture in one continuous 360° narrative. What set this edition apart was its custom soundtrack by Emiliano Pepe, composed to move in step with the projected imagery. Music and image became a single language, the performance elements woven directly into the immersive projection system so that sound and visuals rose and fell together throughout the journey, an emotional dialogue that turned a familiar body of work into a living event.
My contribution
As Project & Production Manager, I coordinated the full production in collaboration with Emiliano Pepe's team, managing the technical integration of the live performance elements with the immersive projection system inside the Cattedrale dell'Immagine. My focus was making the music and the 360° visuals operate as one, aligning the soundtrack with the projected narrative so the experience held together seamlessly across the church's architecture.
