Inside Banksy, immersive exhibition in Cattedrale dell'Immagine

The exhibition

Inside Banksy transformed the millenary church of Santo Stefano al Ponte, the Cattedrale dell'Immagine steps from Ponte Vecchio in Florence, into a multi-sensory journey through the world's most elusive street artist. More than 3,000 square metres of surfaces came alive with over 200 animated images in a 35-minute visual narrative framed by social commentary and satire. The experience reached beyond projection: an interactive 'Be Banksy' area invited visitors to create their own graffiti, a VR experience reconstructed lost murals in their original urban settings, and the crypt recreated the atmosphere of Bristol's underground scene, the birthplace of Banksy's early work, through archival footage, documentaries and music installations.

My contribution

As Project & Production Manager I was responsible for the full development and execution of the exhibition: technical coordination, spatial design, immersive layout and multimedia synchronization. I acted as the key liaison between the creative, technical and logistical teams, holding the many moving parts together so that more than 3,000 square metres of projected street art resolved into a single coherent journey.
