The exhibition
Inside Van Gogh fills the Zentralheize in Erfurt with more than 500 of Vincent van Gogh's works, brought to life through large-scale projections, music and scenographic design across a fully immersive 360° journey. Sunflowers, Starry Night and The Potato Eaters expand to architectural scale, drawing visitors into the colour, turbulence and tenderness of the artist's vision. The path moves through Van Gogh's life and inner world, punctuated by a kaleidoscopic Mirror Room and a poetic VR experience that offers a dreamlike perspective on his imagination. Hosted in Erfurt's former central heating plant, the industrial volume of the Zentralheize gives the projections a raw, monumental canvas well suited to the intensity of Van Gogh's late paintings.
My contribution
As Project & Production Manager, I led the initial planning phase, spatial layout, immersive path design, scenographic concepts, technology selection and graphic installations. On site in Erfurt, I oversaw the setup, working closely with German co-producer COFO Entertainment and the Italian technical team to coordinate the installation of the video content and every immersive component across the venue.
