Inside Banksy

Hosted in the millenary Church of Santo Stefano al Ponte, just steps from Florence’s Ponte Vecchio, Inside Banksy was a large-scale immersive exhibition that transformed the raw energy of the street into a multi-sensory journey. Through a fusion of projections, lights, music and augmented reality, visitors were invited to step inside the world of the mysterious British artist. The exhibition unfolded across more than 3,000 square meters of surfaces, with walls and floors brought to life by over 200 animated images. A 35-minute visual narrative explored Banksy’s most iconic works, framed by social commentary, satire, and cultural references. The show included interactive areas like “Be Banksy”, where guests could create their own graffiti, and an immersive VR experience that reconstructed lost murals in their original urban contexts. Underground, in the crypt, an evocative space recreated the atmosphere of Bristol’s underground scene — the birthplace of Banksy’s early art — combining archival footage, documentaries, and music installations.
