The exhibition
Inside the historical rooms of the Reggia di Caserta, in the former Air Force wing of one of Italy's most majestic royal residences, Klimt Experience brought digital art, surround sound and VR to the city of Caserta. HD projections and 360° video mapping wrapped Gustav Klimt's most iconic works, The Kiss and The Tree of Life, across surfaces steeped in centuries of history. The contrast between the palatial architecture and the digital content gave the show its character, an edutainment journey through Klimt's golden universe designed to reach a wide public. Created by The Fake Factory and produced by Crossmedia Group, it turned one of Italy's grandest royal palaces into an immersive stage where past and present met and the visitor was surrounded on every side by light and sound.

My contribution
This was my first extended time on site: two weeks inside the palace, supporting the installation and training the local team on the daily operation of the system, from projections to VR devices and the surround setup. I managed the visitor reception flow, handled the daily activation and shutdown of the immersive system, supported the media liaison and coordinated with local partners. Each day added a layer to an understanding of this work that I was only beginning to build.
